Former M-Braves Mejia, Gearrin named to Triple-A All-Star Game!

Mejia played with the M-Braves in 2011; Gearrin in 2009… Congrats on making the triple-A All-Star Game!

The wait is nearly over for the 25th annual Triple-A All-Star Game, as the International League and Pacific Coast League have both selected their rosters for the game on Wednesday, July 11 in Buffalo, New York. The winner of the game will earn home field adavnatge for the Triple-A National Championship Game between the IL and PCL on September 18 in Durham, N.C.

Representing the International League and the Gwinnett Braves will be first baseman Ermesto Mejia and closer Cory Gearrin. Both players have been the unquestioned leaders of their respective offense and pitching staff this year .

This season, Mejia leads the G-Braves in most offensive categories including being in line for Gwinnett’s Triple Crown winner as the slugger leads the team in batting average (.311), home runs (15) and RBI (52).
